Nordic-Baltic Energy Conference 2019
Good governance, policy design and solutions towards 2030
October 24-25 in Tallinn at the Nordic Hotel Forum Conference Centre
Nordic-Baltic Energy conference unfolds at the time, when many countries are asking the question – where do we get our future energy from? The urgent need to tackle the climate crisis pushes fossil energy out and speeds up the quest for reliable renewable replacements.
Now, the Nordic and Baltic governments are in the midst of adjusting their energy and climate plans and there is a need for regional consultations on how plans are being drafted.
The conference provides a platform for further exchange of information and co-operation between governments and between other stakeholders. Not all countries in Europe agree with or live up to new carbon neutral ambitions put forward by the Commission. This conference could prove valuable in addressing matters in the regional perspective and forging a common understanding.
Thematic sessions with national administrations, IEA, DG Energy and IRENA will include:
- Policy perspectives 2030 and 2050;
- NB8 countries update on energy and climate plans;
- EU 2050 strategy assessment by industry and experts;
- Energy infrastructure and interconnections;
- Security of supply
We aim for policy makers, implementing agencies, energy industry, NGO, academia and youth representatives.
Kindly mark the date in your calendars and we shall soon send you a registration link alongside with a detailed programme.
